Growth flattens for chip suppliers in 2005
Major semiconductor suppliers all had strong years in 2004, but many will be hard pressed to post even modest single-digit growth in 2005 as key end-market segments cool off. Chip companies' revenue in total grew 28% as the semiconductor market reached $213 billion because of strong growth from computer, consumer electronics and wireless communications equipment manufacturers.
