More airplane parts to be bought in India and China

General Electric said recently is plans to double the amount of airplane parts it sources from China and India.
The move is expected to help GE reduce its overall costs in the competitive aerospace market. “Labor rates in Asia tend to be in the neighborhood of 60 percent of what they are in the Western world.'' Chaker Chahrour, the head of GE Aviation's Asian operations told Bloomberg at a recent conference.
