Motion Industries has acquired Drago Supply Co., a regional industrial supplies company headquartered in Port Arthur, Texas. With annual revenues of approximately $75 million, Drago Supply has eight locations in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. The company stocks more than 30,000 items. "We are very pleased to have a well-established, successful company like Drago Supply join our organization," says Bill Stevens, president and CEO of Motion Industries in Birmingham, Ala.
Kaman Industrial Technologies Corp. has acquired Industrial Rubber and Mechanics Inc. of Puerto Rico. INRUMEC is a distributor of fluid power products; industrial and hydraulic hoses; belting and conveyor systems; pipe, tube, fittings and valves and packaging machinery. The company also manufactures hydraulic hose assemblies.
Grainger has opened its first branch in Panama. The industrial distributor's 23,000-sq. ft. showroom and store facility carries more than 20,000 products, including motors and power transmission products, electrical, lighting, cleaning and painting supplies, safety equipment, material handling and power tools. "Grainger selected Panama as its second expansion market in Latin America, after Mexico, because it offers exciting business opportunities and a business- friendly environment," says Bonnie McIntyre, vice president, international market development at Grainger.
