Emptoris releases latest version of software suite
Emptoris 7 targest various business sizes

Sourcing software provider Emptoris announced a new release of its supply and contract management software, called Emptoris 7, which includes modules to handle contract management, spend analysis, sourcing and compliance.
Emptoris 7 has been formatted to fit several sized business models—basic, professional and enterprise—with the basic model aimed at fast deployment and quick ROI for companies new to automation, whereas the professional and enterprise versions focus on more long-term value for software veterans. All three versions are available on-demand, while the enterprise edition can also be deployed behind the firewall, and users can pick and choose which applications of the suite can be on-demand and or on-premise. By offering this variety of deployment sizes and modes, Emptoris hopes to capture more interest in a wider range of business sizes.
“Companies new to supply and contract management want a quick on ramp – and the flexibility to grow and eventually take on more advanced capabilities,” said Emptoris president and CEO Avner Schneur in a company statement.
