Technology: Topic of meeting for procurement professionals

Electronic procurement is the topic of this year's meeting of the National Association of Procurement Professionals April 2-5, 2000, at the Marco Island Hilton, Marco Island, Fla. (www.nappconference.com).
At the meeting, held annually for procurement and accounts-payable professionals, Keith Krach, CEO, Ariba, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address on "The e-corporation." Also on the agenda: A forum on supply chain management that includes Ted Ramstad, director, global supply management, Perot Systems and an interactive discussion on ERP implementation "war stories."
Sessions conducted by purchasing managers include "Selecting the right e-procurement tool," by Julie Ferguson, corporate procurement systems manager, Nike Corp.; "How to successfully implement e-procurement--a project case study," by Joseph R. Postiglione, vice president, e-procurement, SeraNova; "Customer idealized design: The power of user involvement," by Greg Brandyberry, director worldwide purchasing support, SmithKline Beecham; and "e-Procurement solution using OBI standards," by Fonnie Standaert, corporate buyer, Hoffman-La Roche.
A procurement and solutions & technology fair features both major and emerging corporations demonstrating leading-edge e-procurement products and services.
