Sun Sees Demand Slump

With demand for high-end servers slumping, Sun Microsystems says it will slash up to 6,000 jobs, or 18% of the global workforce. The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company plans to align its business with the global economic climate and restructure operations to reduce costs by as much as $800 million annually.
