Corporate United plans purchasing conference
The buying group presents opportunity for procurement to query CFOs

At Corporate United’sSynergy 2009 conference, purchasing professionals attending will have opportunity to query a panel of chief financial officers (CFO).
As reported in a story in the January issue of Purchasing, financial supply chain management is taking on new importance in this economy, and, as such, finance and purchasing are working more closely together.
Corporate United, a group purchasing organization, holds its annual event at the Conrad Chicago hotel in Chicago on May 12-14, 2009. Attending the conference is free.
On the agenda are presentations by Dawn Tiura Evans, president and CEO of the Sourcing Interests Group. She plans to speak on “Balancing relationships and the need to renegotiate.” Vaughn Hovey, a lecturer at The Ohio State University is scheduled deliver a presentation on “Integrating account and supply management.”
The event also consists of a Corporate United Supplier Expo, and there will be a Member Advisory Board presentation.
Continuing education credits are available toward the Institute for Supply Management’s (ISM) certified professional in supply management (CPSM) and Next Level Purchasing’s senior professional in supply management (SPSM) professional certification.
