Corporate buyers spent $517.6 billion on telecommunication goods and services in 1999, up 11.4% over the previous year, says the Telecommunications Industry Association in Washington and the MultiMedia Telecommunications Association in Arlington, Va. Spending on hardware and software for computer/telephone integration jumped more than 66% in 1999.
