ISM plans women executive supply management summit

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) holds its first Women Executive Supply Management Summit on Feb. 5-6, 2009 at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas.
Highlighting the event is a panel session on executive perspectives led by Carolyn Buck-Luce, global pharmaceutical sector leader at Ernst & Young. On the panel are: Maureen Merkle, former president of procurement at AT&T Services; Judy Baranowski, director at AlixPartners and Jean Baderschneider, vice president of procurement at ExxonMobil Global Services.
Other sessions on the agenda include:
• Strategies to enhance influence and persuasion skills, by Carrie Ericson, vice president at A.T. Kearney Procurement and Analytic Solutions.
• Women in international supply management roles, by Sam Covell, vice president of excellence for global sourcing at BT.
• Beyond benchmarks: Building supply capabilities for business strengths, by Joseph Cavintao, director of the A.T. Kearney Center for Strategic Supply Leadership at ISM and ISM professor of supply chain management at Thunderbird School of Global Management.
• How to present with credibility and authority. by Mary Shapiro, professor at Simmons School of Management.
In addition, there will be a supplier showcase and opportunities for professional networking.
The event is not for women only. It is open to everyone.
