Industrial distributor Graybar has signed a deal with JVC Professional Products Co. in Wayne, N.J. to distribute its surveillance and security technologies.
Graybar will carry JVC Internet protocol (IP) cameras, analog cameras, and IT recording technology. The products will be available throughout the distributor’s network of more than 250 locations in North America.
“JVC has long been recognized as a leader in image quality, and their new IP cameras and recorders are a valuable enhancement to the Graybar security portfolio,” says Mike Dumas, vice president of communications/data business at Graybar.
Graybar entered the security market in 2004. In December, the company announced that it would distribute security products and systems from GE Security.
Graybar, in St. Louis, distributes electrical and communications products and related supply chain management and logistics services. With annual sales of $5.9 billion in 2006, the company places sixth on Industrial Distribution magazine’s The Top 10 annual list of electrical distributors for 2007.
