Boeing Commercial Airplanes has signed a new long-term contract with Kaiser Aluminum for aluminum sheet and light-gauge plate. The new supply contract extends an existing agreement, according to John Byrne, Boeing Global Partners director of purchased outside production and common commodities. “With the continued strong demand for new airplanes, Kaiser’s support is invaluable to delivering the highest quality airplanes to our customers.” The aluminum company’s contract has been enabled by a $105 million expansion at its Trentwood, Wash., rolling mill near Spokane.
