Anixter International of Glenview, Ill., has agreed to acquire World Class Wire & Cable for $62 million. Anixter is a distributor of communication products, electrical and electronic wire and cable, fasteners and other small parts from locations in 248 cities in 50 countries. World Class is a distributor of electrical wire and cable from a single operating site in Waukesha, Wis.In a statement, Anixter CEO Bob Eck says World Class “will be an excellent fit with our existing presence in the wire and cable market in the Midwest. This acquisition positions us to drive even stronger future organic growth.”
