Transportation management systems provider LeanLogistics is being sold to CHEP, a pallet and container logistics firm, for $45 million.
Orlando, Fla.-based CHEP is a subsidiary of Brambles, Ltd., an Australian company that also owns Recall, an information management firm. In a statement on the LeanLogistics deal, Mike Ihlein, CEO of Brambles, said “Combining CHEP’s extensive customer and information base with LeanLogistics’ customer network and innovative technology will enable us to offer a service that reduces transportation costs and optimises supply chain efficiency.”
LeanLogistics recently announced it was offering its Carrier Procurement Services offering to non-TMS customers.
