TW Metals sells red metal inventories

Copper and Brass Sales of Detroit has purchased the inventories of copper and copper alloy coil, sheet, strip, plate, pipe and tubing, extrusions, rod, bar and wire products of TW Metals of Exton, Pa., which is refocusing as a supplier of aluminum, stainless steel, nickel and titanium pipe, tube, bar and rod products.

William G. Sabol, president of Copper and Brass Sales, notes the transaction "allows us to offer our red metal customers an expanded range of products and services. Copper and Brass Sales, one of the metals distribution firms operated by ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, will assume the TW Metals plant in Waterbury, Conn., and will consolidate the TW Metals facility in Providence, R.I., into its new processing and distribution center in Smithfield, R.I.
