Purchasing is looking for MRO purchasing pros
It’s the last call for nominations

Purchasing will recognize achievements of MRO buying teams at companies across the country in an upcoming issue of the magazine and on purchasing.com.
This year, the editors are taking a slightly different tack and honoring teams responsible for purchasing maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) goods and services. In previous years, individuals were singled out. They represented such companies as United Technologies, BMW, United Airlines, Intel, Boston Scientific, Woodward, Pilgrim’s Pride and PPG among others.
As such, Purchasing is asking readers to nominate buying teams that demonstrate excellence in managing the MRO supply chain—that is, groups of initials that have put in place innovative programs to manage MRO costs or have come up with creative ways in which they work with suppliers to add value to plant operations. Those selected will be lauded for their accomplishments with the All-Star MRO Buy team designation and be profiled in a story in Purchasing.
To nominate an MRO buy team, send an email to savery@purchasing.com explaining in 100 words why the individuals deserve recognition as an All-Star MRO Buy team. The deadline for nominations is Monday, June 30, 2008.
