Borg-Warner bows out of rod business

Borg-Warner Automotive Inc. says it will sell its precision forged powder metal connecting rod business unit to GKN Sinter Metals Inc. Borg-Warner officials say the sale will free up the Chicago-based company to focus more on high-engineered powertrain products and systems.
