Arrow Electronics says it has acquired the electronics distribution business of two Indian companies.
Arrow says it bought the franchise components distribution business of Hynetic Electronics and Shreyanics Electronics in India, effective Jan. 1.
“The Hynetic business is similar to Arrow’s, with its demand-creation business model and strong engineering capabilities,” says Michael Long, president of Arrow Global Components.
He says the acquisition benefits Arrow by expanding the distributor Indian customer base in the rapidly growing small- and medium-sized market.
