Samsung Semiconductor and Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas have signed a new distribution agreement to cover North America. Samsung is the leading producer of memory and liquid crystal display (LCD) panels in the world, with expansive operations in North America.
Under the agreement, Avnet, based in Phoenix, will offer customers complete access Samsung’s product families, including flash memory, DRAM, SRAM, logic, hard drives and LCD displays throughout North America. Avnet is already authorized to distribute Samsung memory and displays in Europe.
“Design engineers and purchasing professionals will benefit from the combination of Samsung’s leading technology products and Avnet’s design and supply chain expertise,” says John Cerrato, vice president of North American sales for Samsung in San Jose, Calif.
