Few buyers see better business in the next quarter

Electronics buyers are not optimistic about business over the next 90 days, according to PURCHASING Magazine's monthly survey of buying conditions for March.
Only 15% in March said they expected business to get better in the next quarter while 40% thought it would worsen. At the same time the percentage of buyers who though they would increase purchase orders over the next 90 days dropped from 47% in February to 29% in March. Forty percent of buyers also said they were reducing their inventory. That's up from 29% in February.
Sixty-one percent say prices are steady and 55% report there are no parts in short supply.
