  • RoHS catalog released

    Staff -- Purchasing, 3/16/2006 2:00:00 AM

Catalog distributor Newark InOne recently released the first catalog devoted strictly to electronic products that are compliant with the European Union's Restriction on the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation.

The 40,000 in-stock products in the catalog are divided into six sections: semiconductors, passive components, interconnects/wire & cable, electromechanical/power/circuit protection, optoelectronics and soldering.

Newark InOne has issued new part numbers for all its compliant stock, even if the manufacturers have not done so. Paul Tallentire, president of Newark InOne, says this is the only way to ensure that compliant and non-compliant parts can be identified easily, and properly segregated within its warehouse and customers' stockrooms.
