Nu Horizons, Micrel ink UK deal
Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. says it has expanded its distribution agreement with Micrel to the United Kingdom. Nu Horizons in Melville, N.Y. already distributes Micrel products in North America, Asia and Germany. Micrel, based in San Jose, Calif., is a manufacturer of high performance analog, mixed-signal, RF, communications and power ICs for computing and networking applications.
Digi-Key signs global deal with Laird
Digi-Key and Laird Technologies have announced they have entered into a global distribution agreement.
Laird Technologies, based in St. Louis, is a designer and manufacturer of customized, performance-critical products for wireless and other advanced electronics applications. The company makes electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, thermal management products, mechanical actuation systems, signal integrity components, and wireless antenna solutions, as well as radio frequency (RF) modules and systems.
Custom products are supplied to all sectors of the electronics industry including the handset, telecommunications, data transfer and information technology, automotive, aerospace, defense, consumer, medical, and industrial markets.
Mouser inks deal with Power-One
Mouser Electronics of Mansfield, Texas has signed a global distribution agreement with Power-One, a Camarillo, Calif.-based provider of power conversion and power management solutions. Mouser will stock a variety of products including DC-DC converters and power supplies.
Barry McConnell, Mouser's vice president of product marketing, says Power-One's power-conversion products enhance the distributor's linecard of innovative products that are quickly introduced to the engineering community.
Mouser has also signed a distribution agreement with Honeywell Sensing and Control, a supplier of sensing and control products. Mouser will stock a variety of Honeywell products including a broad selection of basic and complex custom controls, pressure sensors, speed sensors, position sensors, and thermostats, as well as its MICRO SWITCH product line which consists of basic switches, limit switches, and sealed switches.
Jaco signs deal with Rectron
Jaco Electronics has signed a new master distribution agreement with Rectron Semiconductor, a specialist manufacturer of power semiconductors. Jaco, based in Hauppauge, N.Y., distributes semiconductors, passives, flat-panel displays and power supplies. Rectron, headquartered in Huntington Station, N.Y., manufactures rectifiers, bridge rectifiers, switching diodes, zener diodes and transient voltage suppressors.
