UNICCO Service Co. is hosting the first UNICCO Tradeshow & Green Cleaning Learning Seminar today at the Washington Convention Center. The UNICCO Tradeshow brings together the company’s suppliers with UNICCO management, supervisors and cleaners from the Washington area who use their products.
“This is the first time we tried this concept,” says Greg Zifcak, UNICCO commodity/subcontract program manager. “It has the dual benefit of educating UNICCO staff about green cleaning techniques and giving our suppliers a forum to talk directly with the people who use their products. We are excited by the concept and expect it to become the model for additional regional tradeshows.”
The tradeshow portion of the event features supplier exhibits where company representatives can demonstrate green cleaning supplies and equipment, and introduce new products and procedures. This helps UNICCO staff by making them aware of the tools available to them, and benefits suppliers by opening a direct line of communication with end users.
The company has scheduled special presentations for a “Showcase Theater” where suppliers will conduct more in-depth training and information seminars throughout the day.
