The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) will host Procurement & Global Sourcing 2006 in conjunction with its annual conference in San Antonio, Texas, October 15-18. New this year, Procurement & Global Sourcing 2006 is exclusively designed to offer educational opportunities to procurement and global sourcing professionals. Bob Silverman, CSCMP’s 2006 Annual Conference Chair, says “Because purchasing is such an important part of the supply chain, Procurement & Global Sourcing 2006 was developed to provide professionals with the opportunity to attend sessions focused on specific purchasing issues along with those that address other supply chain issues of interest and concern to procurement managers.”
Procurement & Global Sourcing 2006 attendees will explore critical topics and learn real-world solutions while connecting and networking with global peers. Key topics will include indirect procurement outsourcing, low-cost country sourcing, best practices in transportation and services procurement, elevating the role of procurement within the enterprise, supply chain networks, organizational structure, and technology required to successfully manage global strategic sourcing.
