NAND flash prices will stay flat until third quarter

Prices for NAND flash memory remained mostly flat in May although contract prices for the 32 Gb (4Gbx8) multi-level cell NAND flash chip declined 2-6% depending on the supplier agreement.
According to researcher DRAMeXchange, the average contract price of the chip was about $7 in May. The price of the 32 Gb device previously had risen from $5 in February.
Buyers should not expect any drastic price declines for the rest of the quarter, though, as suppliers are focusing on profitability and will want to keep prices stable until at least the end of June.
