Familiar names atop AMR’s Supply Chain Top 25
Apple again nabs top spot in annual rankings

AMR Research unveiled is Supply Chain Top 25 report recently. Apple once again earned the top spot in the survey, as it did last year, which ranks companies’ supply chain performance based on several criteria which broadly fit into opinion and financial metrics.
“The composite score tallied by Apple shows dominance not only in peer and AMR Research opinion votes but also in financial metrics,” AMR said, emphasizing many of Apple’s outbound supply chain practices including its iPhone sales and software features that have driven its financial metrics.
Other companies in the top five include Dell, Procter & Gamble, IBM and Cisco Systems.
When it comes to sourcing in the supply chain, however, AMR highlights cell phone giant Nokia saying, “the Finnish company has also continued to stay ahead of the curve on everything from regional sourcing and deep supplier collaboration to an organizational design based on true value chain principles.
AMR also highlights Disney’s work in strategic sourcing at its theme parks.
