    There are some signs that U.S. manufacturing is on the rebound.

    Signs that the manufacturing economy is improving:

    • Durable goods orders were up in April

    • Purchasingdata.com's business conditions index and ISM's PMI approaching growth level

    • ISM's new orders index heads into growth

    • Manufacturer's Alliance/MAPI Quarterly U.S. Industrial Outlook forecasts a 2% increase in U.S. manufacturing for 2010

    • The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City said manufacturing activity in the district showed growth in May

    • The NACM's credit managers' index shows credit loosening

    • Conference Board's Leading Economic Index takes a jump in April
