    Want to know what's happening with clean-coal technologies that soon will be producing synthetic natural gas (syngas), coal-based oil and chemical olefins feedstock from a coal-to-liquid process and byproducts used for manufacturing chemicals. Two keynote speakers-- Mark Ackiewicz of the Department of Energy and Michael Kratochwill of Nexant Inc.--at the 2nd Chemical Purchasing Summit being held September 17-18, 2009, in Boston. Ackiewicz is the DOE's program manager for hydrogen and clean coal fuels while Kratochwill is Nexant's vice president of finance and strategy practice. The conference is being co-sponsored by sister magazines Purchasing and ICIS Chemical Business.
