WESCO and CSC (Communications Supply Corp.) is holding a series of 10 Sustainability Summits across the U.S. this year. Already, the events have been held in such cities as Chicago, Dallas, New York, Boston and San Francisco. Upcoming locations include Denver, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
The Summits provide education on opportunities and benefits of Green buildings and Green data centers while operating in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. Attendees learn from industry experts on how to decrease energy consumption in areas such as lighting systems as well as increase power and bandwidth efficiencies in their data centers. Industrial distributor Grainger has completed a tender offer bid in Japan for 38,000 shares of MonotaRO Co. As majority owner, Grainger will recognize 100% of the fair value of acquired assets and assumed liabilities of MonotaRO. The Osaka-based company is a direct marketer of MRO supplies to businesses in Japan. With revenues of $136 million, it offers more than 110,000 products to more than 320,000 customers.
