Department of Justice probe into possible flash memory price fixing ends with no indictments

DOJ flash probe ends
A U.S. Department of Justice investigation into possible price fixing of NAND flash memory chips has ended without indictments. Samsung and Toshiba were notified by the Department of Justice that the probe had ended, according to the two companies. The two are the largest manufacturers of NAND flash memory.
The Justice Department began investigating flash memory chipmakers in September 2007 after a separate investigation into the DRAM industry resulted in jail terms and fines for executives of memory IC companies and well as fines for the companies involved.
All American inks Power-One deal
Miami-based All American has signed a distribution agreement with Power-One, Inc. and will carry a wide range of the company's power conversion and power management products including DC-DC converters and AC-DC power supplies. Jim Crehan, Power-One's director of global distribution for Power-One, says he expects All America to generate more design wins for Power-One in Camarillo, Calif.
Avnet signs NMB
Avnet Electronics Marketing will market NMB Technologies' line of more than 100 AC and DC axial fans and blowers, ranging in size from 25mm to 173mm under a new agreement signed by the two companies.
NMB, based in Chatsworth, Calif. develops and manufactures AC/DC axial fans and blowers for use in personal computing, networking, telecommunications and other equpment.
Avnet will carry NMB's product lines in the Americas.
