Chipmakers cut back production, but 60% of buyers still aren't expecting price hikes.

Semiconductor suppliers have cut back production to boost prices, and for some commodities like memory chips they have been successful. However, most buyers aren't expecting any price increases for semiconductors over the next quarter. Purchasingdata.com finds about 60% of buyers are not expecting any price increases, while about 13% say tags to decline over the next 90 days. Only about 28% said prices would increase.
