Prices for semiconductors and passive components are mostly stable, but an increasing percentage of buyers are reporting rising prices, according to the Purchasing.com monthly survey of buying conditions. It's a similar scenario for passives such as resistors and capacitors. Twenty percent of buyers said prices were rising in November, up from 4% in October. Sixty-six percent said prices were stable compared to 81% in October. Fourteen percent said prices were declining, compared to 15% in October.

I cannot comment on chips in general, but what I have seen is a drop in prices on memory chips (such as DDR2 SDRAM and NOR Flash), but an increase in memory card prices. Both are relative to quoted prices since the beginning of the year.
Because fab and assembly/pkg appear to be at a premium, can anyone share some examples of particular devices or chip increasing in price?
