Stallkamp tapped as president

Tom Stallkamp this month will take over as Chrysler Corp.'s new president, making the former procurement and supply chief heir apparent to the automaker's top job.A 17-year company veteran, Stallkamp is credited with cutting billions of dollars from Chrysler's product-development and supply costs. He is also responsible for turning Chrysler's procurement and supply into a strategic function as well as integrating suppliers into the company's design and production operations.
