Items in short supply

Titanium dioxide is the big shortage for the fifth month in a row. Why? Buyers responding to the survey say short term inventories are one reason, but others say the recent purchase of Tioxide is stirring up a lot of uncertainty. A number of buyers also tag hydrochloric acid as a problem material. Other items in short supply include caustic soda, chlorine, and iodine, according to buyers.
