CAPACITY CHANGES

General Chemical Corp. has increased production of sodium bisulfite and sodium metabisulfite 13% to 60,000 tons/yr at its Delaware Valley Works in Claymont, Del. The increased capacity resulted from installing a scrubbing gas scrubbing system that also cut sulfur dioxide emissions by 90%.
