Copier Buyer Bill Of Rights

After helping laboratory clients place more than 10,000 units in the past 12 months, Buyers Laboratory has come up with a short list of some important items. All copier buyers, regardless of their fleet size and buying power, are entitled to the following basic assurances:

1. We will be provided with an itemized list of all components that make up a given price quote and what each component contributes to the overall price.

2. We will be provided the most favorable pricing that other organizations with similar volumes and fleet sizes have received. If we find out this is not the case, we will be able to terminate our contract without penalty.

3. The supplier will install the right equipment in the right location producing the optimum volume for the given model. If we determine this is not the case, we will be able to terminate our contract without penalty.

4. All installed equipment will be proactively serviced to eliminate to the greatest extent possible any unforeseen downtime. If we find out this is not being done, we will be able to terminate our contract without penalty.

5. All underperforming equipment, as per a reasonable definition agreed to in writing by us at the initiation of our contract (not necessarily the boilerplate definition of the supplier), will be replaced at our discretion.

6. We will be provided the most favorable contract terms and conditions that other organizations with similar volumes and fleet sizes have received. If we find out this is not the case, we will be able to terminate our contract without penalty.

7. Any other special privileges that are normally offered to comparable organizations shall also be granted to us. If we discover this is not the case, we will be able to terminate our contract without penalty.
