Ford expands to the Phillipines

In an effort to boost sales in Asia, Ford will build a new vehicle assembly plant in the Phillipines. Annual output at the factory, which could be operational by 2000, would start at 25,000 vehicles and climb to as many as 40,000 vehicles.
