By Staff -- Purchasing, 3/12/1998
Looking for information on the latest automotive connectors, microchips, or electronic assemblies? Check out the Society of Automotive Engineers' Web site.SAE recently posted a searchable automotive-electronics database on the site, allowing registered users to point-and-click their way through more than 28,000 document summaries of technical papers, standards and specifications, books, reports, and trade publications.
The database, which can be searched by subject, author, or keyword, includes useful information on such topics as design, engineering, application, testing and maintenance of control systems, sensors and multiplexing.
Buyers can test drive a free, limited model of the service (www.sae.org/electronics). Full access to the database, which is also available on cd-rom, costs $350 per year.
