DCAT purchasing program at Penn State

The Drug, Chemical & Allied Trades Association, Inc. (dcat) recently announced an educational program for purchasing professionals in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

The dcat/Penn State Strategic Purchasing Program will be held May 17-22, at Penn State College. It includes sessions on outsourcing, negotiation skills, supply chain management, information technology, contract development, global purchasing, and financial analysis. Courses will include industry speakers from Abbot Labs, Roche, Dow Chemical, and Merck and Co., as well as academic professionals from Penn State and Michigan State. Attendees will receive C.P.M. credit from napm.

The program costs $2450 for dcat members, $2950 for non-members. For information, call dcat at 516-496-3317.
