U.S. consumer credit-card delinquencies fell in fourth-quarter 1997 to their lowest level in three years

U.S. consumer credit-card delinquencies fell in fourth-quarter 1997 to their lowest level in three years, according to the American Bankers Association. Percentage of credit-card accounts more than 30 days past due fell to 3% in fourth quarter, down from 3.5% in the third and 3.7% a year earlier.
