Strong domestic demand and relatively high capacity utilization rates have done little to hinder supplier delivery speed, buyers report. On the contrary, for the twelve months ending in May, Purchasing's index comprising leadtimes for 130-plus common industrial commodities fell 7.5%. Meanwhile, 73% of Purchasing's leadtime panelists say industrial commodity prices held steady in May; another 9% remark modest attrition in general pricing levels.
