Expect Intel to release a plethora of new microprocessors aimed at the higher end of the computer market. Reason: While MPU unit growth is being driven by the sub-$1000 segment, revenue growth will come from the higher end where margins are considerably higher. Intel's core business will remain microprocessors, but look for the company to offer more chipsets for PCs and networking equipment.
