Intel cuts mobile processors tags

Intel has cut prices on its Pentium and Pentium II processors for mobile computers, ranging from 8% up to 42%. Intel cut the price of the 266-megahertz version Pentium II with a mini-cartridge to $637 from $696 in quantities of 1,000 units, an 8% drop.

Intel cut the price of its 233-megahertz Pentium II for mobile PCs to $391 from $466 previously, a 16% drop.

Intel also cut the prices on its Pentium chips with MMX technology for mobile computers. For example, it cut the 266-megahertz version of the Pentium Mobile with MMX by 25% to $348 from $466 previously, in quantities of 1,000.

The 233-megahertz version of the Pentium Mobile with MMX was dropped 41% to $213 from $359 previously, and the 200-megahertz version of the Pentium Mobile with MMX was dropped 42% to $134 from $230 previously.
