Look for prices on 16-megabit drams to stabilize over the rest of the year while 64-megabit devices continue to fall. So far this has been a devastating year for the chip industry, notes Semico Research. One indicator of how bad business has been so far: dram revenue fell 19% through the first quarter while the number of megabits shipped increased by around 13%.
