Compaq has slashed prices by up to 20% on its server line in the U.S. For instance, the computer giant now prices its ProLiant 1600 model with 266 MHz processor, 128 MB memory, 12.9 GB drive capacity, and Smart 2SL raid controller, at $6,050, a 14% decrease.
