CAPACITY CHANGES

Eastman Chemical has increased production of Eastobrite optical brighteners by 40%. The company, which had been restricting sales on the products since August 1996, will now sell to customers in unrestricted quantities. Eastman also is planning a new facility in Kinsport, Tenn., which will increase capacity another 50% by third-quarter 1999.
