Capacity Changes

Lonza will expand its fine chemicals plant at Conshohocken, Pa.--increasing capacity for pharmaceutical intermediates and active ingredients by 50%. The new plant should come on stream by the end of 1999. Lonza also has put its sixth fine chemicals production plant into operation at Visp, Switzerland. This facility expands capacity for chemical intermediates and active ingredients produced exclusively for pharmaceutical and agrochemical companies.
