Dell Computer has cut prices by up to 11% on its Optiplex desktop PC line. The reductions, the company says, are a result of component cost reductions and direct model efficiencies gained through growth in Internet sales and online technical support delivery. These efficiencies have helped Dell to cut operating expenses on the PC line by 13% over the past year.
