CORPORATE CHANGES

AlliedSignal has purchased Southwest Microelectronic Materials, a Chandler, Ariz.-based supplier of specialty chemicals for the semiconductor industry. The company will become a part of AlliedSignal's specialty chemicals business.

Witco Corp. plans to sell or seek an alliance for its Oleochemicals & Derivatives Group. The company said this latest move it part of a three-year restructuring that will focus the company more on its specialty chemicals business.
