CEF announces Vanguard winners

G. Steven Robins, president of G.S. Robins and Co. and past president of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (nacd), and Wayne Tamarelli, chairman and CEO of Dock Resins Corp. and former chairman of the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Assoc., are co-winners of the 1999 Vanguard Award, created by the Chemical Educational Foundation (CEF) to "honor individuals who have pioneered and nurtured chemical product stewardship relationships across all industries and communities served by the chemical industry."Robins and Tamarelli will receive the Award at the Foundation's annual Chemical Product Stewardship Awards Banquet, to be held Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at the Hilton Capital Hotel in Washington, D.C. At the banquet, winners of Chemical Product Stewardship Awards will be announced in three categories: manufacturer, distributor, and community.
The CEF serves the public interest as a primary national resource for conducting research and educational programs for proper distribution practices and safe handling, use, storage, transport, disposal, and recycling of chemicals and chemical products.
