Sandvik has new spring steels

Sandvik Steel in Clarks Summit, Pa., is marketing two new grades of stainless steel spring wire developed by its Swedish parent company. Sandvik SAF 2205 is a duplex stainless with corrosion resistance superior to aisi 316 and heat resistance superior to aisi 302, 304, and 316. Sandvik 13RM19 is a non-magnetic stainless grade with high mechanical strength comparable with cobalt/nickel and copper/beryllium alloys.
